There are a huge number of badges available to young people across all sections of Scouting. Some of these might be to reward proficiency or endeavour in a certain skill area, while others might be for time spent in the movement, for becoming a member of the next section, or for taking part in particular challenges or expeditions
To learn more about the available badges for each section follow the links below to the Scouts.org website:
Badge Placement
Below are some images showing the badge placement for each of the sections.
In 2015 the shape of the challenge award badges have changed to a new hexagonal design. During the transition to the new design hexagonal badges should be combined with older square challenge badges.
Note for clarity, the badges on the Right sleeve are:
- Top Most name tape: Colony/Pack/Troop Name, i.e. Swifts
- Second name tape: Group name tape, i.e. 1st Woosehill
- (Left (facing the front of the shirt)) District badge, i.e. Wokingham
- (Right (facing the front of the shirt)) Country badge, i.e. Berkshire
